How is the procedure done without anesthesia?
Small dogs are comfortably wrapped in a towel and held in my lap. Then I use one hand to control the mouth and expose the teeth, and the other hand to clean the teeth and remove the tartar.

How long does the process take?
It can take anywhere from 15-45 mins depending on the amount of tartar build up and how the pet is feeling.

How often should I have this done?
Every 6 months to a year.

What if the dog has loose or missing teeth?
I am still able to perform preventative dental cleanings for dog despite missing or loose teeth.

What if the dog's dental and gum condition are past the point where a dental cleaning would be beneficial?
If the condition of the dogs teeth/gums are beyond the need for a preventative cleaning, meaning a condition already exist, Grooming Day Salon reserves the right to NOT perform the teeth cleaning, and a vet would be recommended.
